The outter cover is hard enough that I do not worry about my GPS getting damaged. The only thing is that the case only big enough for the GPS unit and nothing else. So if you want to store and other items along with your GPs this is not the case for you. Nicely rolled up that is. Very tight fit, however you can still slide it in and out without taking everything out of the case. I recommend using a rubber band for the cords. Very decent compact case clever design. I keep my GPS on the smaller side of the case and it fits like a glove leaving just enough room for accessories, and remains functional and hassle free IMO. THE INCLUDED SCREEN SAVER DIDN'T FIT THE 4.3" INCH. APPEARS TO FIT UP TO 4". So if you have a 4.3'' your SOL on the screen saver. PSP screen saver fits perfect on mine.
